Who Are We?
Nothing Special Productions is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit orginization that was started in April of 2005 in Elgin, IL, by Nick Cardiff, Alissa Jones, Mikey Laird, and Brian Rohde.
NSP is dedicated to serving their community by providing high quality entertainment, creative education through in-school workshops, and by raising awareness for local charities.
As listed in our Mission, we accomplish our goals by focusing on three important elements; Entertainment, Education and Community.Entertainment
NSP is dedicated to the general public of Elgin and surrounding communities by bringing exceptional and thought provoking entertainment which everyone can enjoy. We support new and innovative theatre while still leaving a place for the classics.
Education
For the past three years NSP has been traveling to surrounding elementary and high schools helping to bring culture to our younger community's lives. Through work-shops and performances NSP will continue to be a valuable source of education in the surrounding communities.
Community
Raising awareness for Easter Seals and other charitable causes has been a big goal for NSP. Through every performance NSP teams up with a charity to give them more publicity and then donates a portion of the ticket sales to the charity's cause.
Nothing Special
Theatre is something not only for intellectuals and the world of academia but for anyone who can laugh, cry and feel. You don't need to dress up. You don't need to plan a month in advance. You can just go and most of all, have fun.
After all, it's only theatre.
